the brick walls on the south and west elevations of the building are cracked in a number of places. the south wall has sheared away from the substructure and caused a crack over 40 courses tall on the west face. the gapping created suggests that some of the ties are snapping. the separation of the brick poses a severe life safety hazard, threatening the light well and the rear yard areas. to insure the stability of this wall and the safety of the general public below, the property owner is to secure the services of a structural/civil engineer to provide structural analysis of the current configuration and repair of this assembly.
