the following violations of chapter 41 of the s. f. administrative code known as the residential hotel unit conversion and demolition ordinance (hereafter referred to as the hco) were found as a result of an on-site inspection of the st. paul hotel at 935 kearny street, by inspector a. karcs on april 21, 2000, and an examination of the hco records at the offices of the department of building inspection, on may 17, 2000 by inspector r. bosque. the following violations are to be corrected immediately: 1. the certificate of use was not posted at the time of the on-site inspection on april 21, 2000 in violation of section 41.6(d) of the hco. 2. daily logs were not available at the time of the on-site inspection on april 21, 2000 and further review of these records on may 17, 2000 revealed that the daily logs were not properly maintained to contain the requisite information on a daily basis: (a) whether all guest rooms were being used for residential use, tourist use or vacant, and (b) the name of the registered occupants, in violation of sections 41.9(a) and 41.11(c) of the hco. the hotel owner/operator was instructed to submit hco records (daily logs, weekly reports, & rent receipts) for the period of may 18, 2000 through july 10, 2000, to inspector bosque for an in-house reinspection of the hco records at the dbi offices (1660 mission street, 6th floor) on tuesday, july 11, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. please contact inspector bosque at (415) 558-6202 if you have any questions regarding this notice.
